As the founder of Greater Works Outreach Prayer & Deliverance Ministry,  Apostle Jose Ruiz has faithfully served and shared the message of deliverance, salvation, and victory through Christ with his congregation at Greater Works Deliverance Ministries and the surrounding community of Hammond, Indiana for many years. His passion and calling extend beyond the four walls of the church, reaching those in need with a message of restoration and healing through Christ. This commitment reflects the heart and purpose of the ministry he leads.

Established a community‑based organization, United Neighborhood Organization, and negotiated with the City of Chicago for the development of a new medical center.

Successfully negotiated for the construction of a new police station to meet critical community needs.

Assisted unemployed individuals in securing job opportunities.

Founded Ruiz Heating & Cooling Contractor (1980–1990) and later sold the business.

Founded Greater Works Outreach Prayer & Deliverance Ministry (1998–Present) and Greater Works Christian Bookstore.

Developed and led a 12‑Step Recovery Program Through Christ.

Established the Greater Works After‑School Program and Soldiers in Christ Youth Center.

Founded the Ruiz Career Development Training Center (1997–Present).
